He was able to develop a solid team, train and mentor young people, and meet the expectations of our customers in a particularly hectic period with regard to outside plants and FTTH projects within the context of the various government projects and with telecommunications carriers.
Mr. René Morissette is a senior engineer and experiencedmanager in the field of telecommunications, FTTH and outside plants. He graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in telecommunications. He has worked for more than 29 years in the field of telecommunications and consulting engineering. During his career, he has participated in the deployment of several thousands of km of fibre optic and FTTH networks across Canada for most of the major Canadian telecommunications carriers and several organizations owning critical telecommunications infrastructure such as Hydro-Quebec. He also participated in the planning and design of Small Cell projects for 5G deployment. As a manager and leader, he has led very large multidisciplinary teams in numerous FTTH telecommunications projects.

A year ago, Mr. Maurice Beauséjour rose to the challenge of being the first president not to bear the name Hamel since the company’s creation in 1967.
